Rega River - kayaking to the Baltic Sea in 5-10 days

Rega is one of the most popular kayaking routes in West Pomeranian province for few days kayaaking trip. It is 168 km long and flows directly into the Baltic Sea, which makes it very attractive for kayakers looking for a suitable river for a few days vacation with their family. Rega's route is considered easy, but in some places it is quite cumbersome especially in its upper and middle reaches. There you can find fallen trees across the riverbed, which makes it sometimes necessary to just walk around these places. In Rega River you can meet many species of fish, including trout and salmon, which makes it a dream river for kayaking and fishing enthusiasts. Due to its varied character it is a very interesting river and its considerable length allows you to spend a very pleasant vacation in a kayak for many days.

Frequently asked questions

1. How to dress up for a kayaking?

For kayaking it is best to wear comfortable sportswear made of synthetic materials that drain water and dry quickly. Even if you get waterlogged, such clothing should not cool you down as much as cotton. Shoes should also be comfortable and tightly fitting to our leg to enable safe movement on wet stones or trees. Depending on the route you take, clothing should be carefully selected. If you will be on the route for a long time in the sun, it is necessary to have a headgear and to use a cream with a protective filter. If you are going on a route with a lot of obstacles (fallen trees) it is worth to take your clothes with you in case of falling into the water, as well as an appropriate amount of lunch and water. No matter what route you are going on, it is worth having additional equipment that will protect you from rain. More information about what to take with you on the kayak can be found in the questions above.

2. What to take for a kayaking expedition?

A few days of canoeing must be taken first of all:
- comfortable sports clothing that dries quickly (preferably made of synthetic material)
- Comfortable shoes that hold well on our leg (flip-flops fall off)
- Headgear (as protection from the sun)
- drinking water
- provisions (bars, fruit, etc.)
- protective filter cream
- sunglasses
- mosquito liquid
- cash money
- waterproof phone case for documents
- waterproof bag for personal items
